Project Overview

SaunaGo is a user-friendly website that lets people rent out their mobile saunas and find others available for rent. I created this site from scratch, focusing on practicing React Router to ensure a smooth user experience.

I utilized Firebase Firestore for adding and fetching data, and implemented Firebase Authentication for creating user accounts and a login form. To enhance functionality, I included a feature that allows users to filter saunas by their type.

This project was based on a Scrimba project, where I received a Figma design file for a similar website. However, I challenged myself to redesign the site with my own ideas and style.

I learned a lot from this project, and it’s the biggest website I have built so far. It was a great opportunity to practice my design skills, React, Firebase and CSS. Additionally, I had to learn Firebase Authentication and filtering, as I was not familiar with these before.
